This program is a curriculum for parents who choose homeschooling OR parents who would like to add extra schooling to their child’s routine.
Homeschooling means the parent is now the teacher. If you decide to homeschool your child, you become responsible for fulfilling your state’s requirements on homeschooling. Your child’s local school district does not have to provide curriculum or teacher support for students enrolled in homeschool.
In Illinois, you need to alert your local ROE office that you are homeschooling your child in order to avoid truancy.
Use our contact page to reach out to us and discuss if RootEd is right for your state's requirements. In time, we will be serving all 50 states and we are happy to assist you by hiring teachers in your area who can help!
The program includes pre-taped ELA and Math lessons, activities to go along with the lessons, virtual access to the teacher and to turn activities in, and the answer keys for parents to help out at home.
The short answer is no. The long answer is that your child is never guaranteed to pass into the next grade. This relies fully on the participation of your child. Your child’s participation is 100% up to you.
No. This program is completely on your own in terms of how much you use. There is no one taking attendance or making sure your child completes the activities or watches the lessons. Your child’s participation is solely up to you.
Yes. The program is delivered weekly, with weekly payments, at any time if you choose not to participate, you simply don’t pay and you will not be able to access the lessons any longer.
Yes, you can get started with us ANYTIME! Whenever you pay the weekly fee, you will receive that week’s lessons.
This program is asynchronous. This means you do this on your own time at your own pace, this is NOT “live” with a teacher. Our courses have teacher support available, but it is not live on zoom or google classroom.
